Develops reports and metrics on various aspects of product assurance function including cost of scrap and rework operations, accuracy of inspection, quality of outgoing product, etc. Monitor nonconforming parts through RMA and the rework process including timely disposition and closure.

Performs auditing and evaluation of inspections, test methods and processes to assure conformance to established standards, specifications and customer requirements. Prepares reports and makes recommendation to appropriate sections for corrective or preventative action to improvement in product quality and/or reliability. Implement action to be taken and follow up for effectiveness to eliminated or prevented nonconformance and their cause.

Manages with product realization process in establishing where sequence measurement and testing operations are to be performed, what records to be used to measure results, what specific measuring instruments and equipment is required, and specific instructions associated with operation. Records for evidence that realization process and resulting product meet requirements. May initiate or request a risk assessment identifying risks associated to a process.

Leads training production staff in the implementation of quality at the source inspection program.

Ensure monitoring and measurement equipment is subject to adequate calibration controls and audit. Audit to ensure current revision level of CNC and CMM programs are being used by production.

Establishes control plans, reliability and maintainability requirements for all subcontracts and coordinates with supplier quality assurance. Evaluates supplier’s reliability plan and performance. 

Participates in NPI review meetings to determine acceptability and contract review of incoming products and quotes.

Deployed multiple times in support of Air Force Special Operations Command and Operation Enduring Freedom.

Performed welding and cutting operations to include level II certified (6G) weld repair of aircraft parts/components as well as off aircraft components and support equipment.  

Applied MIG, TIG, SMAW, and GMAW welding procedures on all metal groups as mission and function demands.  

Programmed and operates metal working machines and computer numerical controlled (CNC) equipment to manufacture, rework, and repair aircraft and support equipment parts. Equipment includes machines such as manual mills, lathes, and drill presses as well as Fadal 4020 and 8020 machining centers, and CNC lathes.
